BNP Paribas in Switzerland
BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA founded in 1872 and has thus been present in Switzerland for 150 years as the oldest foreign bank. By financing the excavation work for the Gotthard and the Simplon tunnels, the bank already played an important role within the Swiss economy in the 19th century.
The bank employs more than 1,000 people at its three sites in Geneva, Zurich and Lugano.
